Detox your Diet, Mind and Life

I often talk of a detox or cleansing, it's basically cleaning out the sludge in your intestinal tract.  Today we talk about the other types of 

DETOX 

I read this in an article "The ART of doing NOTHING three times a day".

In the  Morning:
• Exercise: Don’t jump out of bed when the alarm goes off. Instead spend 5 minutes, lie on your back in savasana pose and set your intention on the type of day you want to create! How will you share your gifts and talents with the world today?

* Affirmation: I consciously choose to be peaceful and live in the flow of life today. So be it.

* Affirmation: I choose to enjoy every moment of the day.

Midday/Lunch Time:
* If you drive to work, great- then leave your wireless devices at your desk. This is not the time to read emails, making a ‘to do list’ or checking text messages or voicemail. Regard this as a personal mental break where you can enjoy some stillness and peace. 
Sit in your car for at least 10 minutes, tilt back the driver seat and  simply BE STILL.
 
* Exercise: connect with your breath. 
Belly breathe: inhale for 4 counts, hold for 2 counts, exhale for 4 counts. 
Allow your body to reestablish its natural rhythms while calming your central nervous system. 
Belly breathing also improves mental clarity. 
This exercise can be performed several times throughout the day especially when driving in rush hour traffic!

* If you take the train or bus to work, then try to find a quiet place at lunch to ‘be still’; take lunch at a later time when there is less chatter in the lunch room or enjoy a mini walking meditation outside for 5-10 minutes if you can.

Believe it or not, these little efforts can make a huge difference in how your day goes and how you actually feel about it..
So, JUST DETOX!!
